At Encube, we’re building a cutting-edge visual collaboration platform where hardware teams come together to explore designs, share insights and shape ideas to invent better products faster where 3D is at the center.

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who loves solving complex technical challenges with the end-user in mind. This is a high-impact, high-agency role where you’ll shape our backend architecture, ensure our platform performs at scale, and help the team iterate quickly without compromising quality, reliability, or security.

What you’ll do

You’ll be at the heart of product engineering, driving backend initiatives from concept through deployment as part of shipping product and building our platform for scale. This includes:

• Owning architecture and implementation decisions end-to-end from scoping and technical design through to hands-on development, release, and maintenance.
• Rapidly shipping new product features while maintaining quality, performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborating closely with the full stack of engineering, product, design, operations, and leadership to build and continuously improve our backend systems and product overall.
• Contributing to infrastructure and tooling that enable fast, reliable, and secure iterations.

Our tech stack

We’re pragmatic about technology, we pick the best tools for the job. Today, we use:

• Backend: Python microservices (with occasional C++ bindings) running in AWS EKS, exposing REST and WebSocket APIs.
• Infra & Security: Terraform for IaC, fine-grained authorization via OpenFGA, Authentication with Auth0 and CDN through Cloudflare.
• Data: Postgres, Redis, and AWS S3 for storage and caching.
• Tooling: GitHub Actions for CI/CD (testing/deploys in under 2 minutes), extensive integration testing using Testcontainers, plus unit and end-to-end tests.
